Parenthood is a wild ride, but it is also full of wonder. In my personal experience, most days have a whole lot of crazyness, broken up with a few precious minutes of sweetness that make it all worth it.
When TO PLAN FOR FAMILY PHOTOS
I know it’s summer here in Tennessee but now is the perfect time to plan for family pictures come fall!
If you’re wanting an outdoor session, we know the Clarksville weather will be unbearable for a bit (a perk of opting for an in-home session) but now is when you want to book for the busiest season of the year.
Although…. while we’re at it, backyard family photos by the pool or under a sprinkler are always fun and definitely unique!

My personal fave, we could have your family session inside your home! In the air conditioning! Ahhhh.
Regardless of where you want to have your family session, the when is important. You know that quote?
“The best time to plant a tree is 10 years ago. The second best is today.”
Part of the reason for a family session is to have those memories now, but a much bigger part is for years and years from now. So do future-you a solid and make the time for it.
If you’re like many, the last time you had family photos was when your youngest was a newborn. Life is only going to be this way for so long. Let’s not miss any more time!
But my kids are nuts!
Honestly, most are! Heck, I dread having our own pictures taken Every. Flipping. Time.
Here’s the thing. The pictures usually come out BETTER when they’re being unpredictable. Selfishly, I LOVE when the kids go berserk because I know the parents are going to be floored when they watch their Reveal Slideshow! Lol.
